Masai Mara national reserve
The Masai Mara is one of Africa’s most famous parks.and is Kenya’s flagship park. The Masai Mara’s scenery is dominated by grassland savannah, pockets of acacia woodland, riparian forest, and rocky hills intersperse the plains. All members of the "Big Five" (lion, leopard, African elephant, cape buffalo, and black rhinoceros) are found in the Maasai Mara. The legendary wildebeest migration is one of the world’s most amazing wildlife encounters. The wildebeest migration usually reaches the Masai Mara in July and remains until October when they move back to the Serengeti in Tanzania. Wildlife viewing is good year-round.
lake nakuru national park
Scenic Lake Nakuru is Kenya’s most popular national park. The scenery of Lake Nakuru NP is breathtaking. The Rift Valley escarpment, dotted with euphorbia trees, rises up from the lakeshore. Lake Nakuru NP’s main feature is a large, shallow lake, which was famous for large flocks of flamingos. Most big safari animals are present in Lake Nakuru NP with the exception of elephants. The park is known for its populations black and white rhinos. The white rhino is particularly common, and different groups are usually encountered throughout the day.
Lake naivasha
Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in Kenya. One of the lake’s most interesting features is its wildlife, especially its protected hippo population. At Lake Naivasha, you will go to Crescent island by boat and take a pleasant nature walk at Crescent Island. The area is flocked with animals like the giraffe, buffaloes, Columbus monkeys, water bucks, elands and impalas. Over 200 species of birds are recorded in the region making it a treat to watch. Hiking, cycling, and motorcycling are encouraged within the park.
amboseli national park
Amboseli is classic Africa. Often called the 'Land of Giants' – due to the impressive elephants here carrying massive tusks – the animals are set against breathtaking vistas of Mt Kilimanjaro, which makes an awesome backdrop to the small park. The park is 392 Km sq and is the second most famous park in Kenya. The park houses the African bush elephant, buffaloes, impalas, Masai lions, cheetahs, spotted hyenas and blue wildebeest among other African animals. Keeping your camera ready at hand is highly recommended here.
tsavo national parks
Tsavo West, together with its expansive Tsavo East neighbour, combine to equal a massive 4% of Kenya forming one of the largest national parks in the world. The park is a stronghold for elephants, and you’ll commonly find them with a reddish appearance from the dusty soil of the area. The park is also famous for its maneless lions. Tsavo is a real wilderness destination.
